Q + A

Are kids allowed?

Yes! Our reception venue is a kids' summer camp, which includes playgrounds and vast fields to run around on! We're going to make sure our littlest guests have fun, too. During the ceremony, please keep an eye on the younger ones, as we will be near rocky ocean shores. There's a playground near the parking lot, if they get restless.

What's the dress code?

As dressed up as you want to be! You can treat this like a gala at the Met Opera, or you can wear your best beachy attire. Sarah will not care if you show up in white. We want to see everyone's personal style come through. Please bear the following in mind: Maine can be hot and humid in early August, but the coast still has a sea breeze, and there's always a chance of rain. Two Lights is a hilly state park on rocky shores, so we don't recommend wearing your highest heels (you can change into them at the reception).

What's the parking situation?

Pretty easy! Both Two Lights and Camp Ketcha have large designated parking lots. However, due to the fact that Two Lights is open to the public and Maine summers are busy, we encourage carpooling to the ceremony.

How far apart are the two venues?

Two Lights and Camp Ketcha are about fifteen minutes apart along Maine's Route 77.

What if there's rain?

If the weather is wild, we'll move the ceremony to Camp Ketcha.

What's your phone policy?

Take as many photos and videos as you like during the processional and exit (and the reception, of course), but please put your phones away during the rest of the ceremony.

Is there a hashtag for social media?

Probably won't be, so just tag us!

Is Sarah changing her last name?

Nope! You don't have to change her info anywhere. She will be explaining how to pronounce it until the day she dies.
