Ceremony

Two Lights State Park

Two Lights State Park perfectly captures the spirit of the rocky coast of Maine. Over the last forty years, the Lauritanos have shared many good meals and better company in this special place. We cannot wait to share it with you!

Though Two Lights sits on the edge of Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, this is a rocky coastline rather than a beach. There is no sand or swimming, but there are many trails along the rocks and into the woods, as well as a decommissioned fort. Public restrooms are available near the parking lot. (And there's a playground, too.)

We're anticipating using an uncovered location for the ceremony, so consider having the following: something to layer if the ocean breeze is blowing, sunscreen, and sunglasses. A hat, too, if you're feeling fancy (and it's not too windy).

Those with mobility issues should take note that the ground is uneven and hilly in many areas, but we don't anticipate a long walk from the parking lot to the site. Please also heed this same warning if you are planning on wearing heels. Sandals and sneakers are totally fine, and you can bring your fancier feet to the reception!

We will be paying the park entrance fees for our guests. More detailed information on this later.

The parking lot is large, but Maine in summer is busy and Two Lights is open to the public, so we encourage carpooling.

We'll be watching the weather as the date nears and may move the ceremony to Camp Ketcha if necessary.

Reception

Camp Ketcha

Our reception venue is a short drive west of Two Lights. Camp Ketcha (also called Ketcha Outdoors) is a children's camp located on over 100 acres of field, forest, and water. The primary location of the reception will be in their large Great Room, but (weather permitting) we may spend most of the time outside. We will have access to a covered picnic area, fields, playgrounds, and trails, and you can even go look at the goats and chickens that live on the property. There's also an ice cream stand across the road!

There is plenty of parking on site. We will provide detailed venue maps and rules later in the process.
